چکیده

The focus of this research project was the development of a procedure by which various alternative camouflage schemes could be developed, and once developed, evaluated. Our approach was to delineate principles of camouflage, for concealment and for deception. Once these principles were uncovered, various combinations of independent variables, each developed from a particular principle were then used in the development of three related deception camouflage patterns. In Experiment 1 these patterns were evaluated in terms of time to judge direction of an aircraft and accuracy of this judgment. In Experiment 2 the time to identify the presence of camouflage was measured. In both experiments evaluation was in terms of a worse-case scenario with the best camouflage pattern resulting in the poorest performance, i.e. slowest response time and poorest accuracy, as well as highest response variability. 2

1 Paper : Motion Camouflage Review

This paper seeks to present and comment upon the ideas and implementations of motion camouflage research. The primary paper reviewed here is the explanation of an experiment (masquerading as a computer game) done on humans in order to establish whether human beings are deceived by motion camouflage. Section 1 will introduce the concepts of camouflage and motion camouflage in particular. Section...

Corticotropin-releasing factor critical for zebrafish camouflage behavior is regulated by light and sensitive to ethanol.

The zebrafish camouflage response is an innate "hard-wired" behavior that offers an excellent opportunity to explore neural circuit assembly and function. Moreover, the camouflage response is sensitive to ethanol, making it a tractable system for understanding how ethanol influences neural circuit development and function. Here we report the identification of corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF...

Treatment of Skeletal Anterior Open Bite Using Absolute Anchorage: A Case Report and Review

Background and purpose: Skeletal anchorage is a new aid for the correction of moderate anterior open bite. This study aimed at treating moderate anterior open bite using posterior intrusion via mini implants. In addition, a review of studies carried out on open bite correction using absolute anchorage was performed. Materials and methods: The following keywords were used: open bite, camouflag...
